• Hi Guys,

I wanted to ask for some advice, i’m building a blog site which covers nutrition and wellness content. I have added a page called Herablife Content in the menu which i want to use to publish post specifically about Herbalife products and discuss what their products can do ect.

At the moment when i publish any post they are shown under Blog tab, but if i wanted to create a new post specifically for Herbalife at the moment they are shown under Blog. Is there a way in the settings of my post pages to tell wordpress that for any pages i want describing Herbalife to display it under the tab Herbalife Content?

The closest i have been to is to make it a category in my Blog so that if people click on Blog button and scroll down they can click this. I would like to be able to have a second Blog but set it up so i can show only Herabalife stuff is that possible?

    Hope that is clear.

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, I think it is custom post type(CPT) what you want to achieve with.
There are many plugins to set CPT, but I usually use Custom Post Type UI.
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/

They have lots of options but just change ‘Has Archive’ setting to ‘True’ when adding new post type for now.
This enables to have archive page for the new post type.

Do not forget to delete herbalife-content page you have now.

Just set up the category and add that into your menu instead of the page that you’re using now. That way you’ll get that working as you want and you’ll see that the articles are in that category page as well as the main blog page.

    Hi winters11223,

I just tried your suggestion and it worked so thanks for that quick tip.
Apologies for asking silly question, i’ve only been using WordPress for about 1-2 weeks so still new but thanks again.

    Thanks
