I have one other question. Does this use WordPress oembed? as I might want to disable it if I don’t need to have it enabled.

So then what are the actual benefits of using this plugin? I read the description and I don’t see anything to gain from using it.

Hope you’re doing well. Actually, there are lots of sources that doesn’t supported by WordPress oembed. EmbedPress supports 150+ sources and out of them, only 20% get embedded by WordPress oembed.
