Add media button doesn't work

I’ve deleted the old wp-includes & wp-admin directories as the instructions suggested, but have no idea how to add the new admins & includes. I’ve tried uploading, but all of this is starting to look like a foreign language to me. This is getting really frustrating

I’m using the FTP through Go Daddy. I’m just following the instructions to the link you guys sent me earlier.

would it be beneficial if I just uninstall & delete everything except for my URL & start over from scratch?

Out of frustration, I just decided to uninstall & re-install and the “add media” button still does not work. I even installed a new browser to see if it would work there. No such luck. What am I to do with a magazine site with no images? I’ve googled this problem & apparently,there are a lot of folks with this issue. Without a tech saavy guy next to me or on the phone directing me, I will not be able to fix this myself. Thanks for your help. I may have to eventually uninstall wordpress for good & use another program to power my site, unless there is a support center that is willing to walk me though via phone.
