Add Expire dates to images
-
Hi,
How can I get expire dates on images? See here: https://www.screencast.com/t/Id3RCC7gBK
Maybe I just need to uninstal and reinstall hummingbird?

Hello @wood1e
I trust you’re doing well!
Please go to the Hummingbird > Caching > Browser Caching, under Configure section, set the Expiry Time to Individuals File Type. Change the expiry time for images as shown in this screenshot and save the changes.
Let us know if you have any further questions!

NastiaHi

and here: https://www.screencast.com/t/0i7oeHOzbj7Hello @wood1e
Hope you’re doing well!
I apologize for the late reply. Based on the screenshots the image’s expiry date is set to 16 days
Please see here:
http://take.ms/NX9nZAnd at the settings page here:
https://monosnap.com/file/L45rUFnmWY9vTzpEVvmIgSdtTzNY0sIn the options, media is set to expire after 16 days.
Let us know if you have any further questions!
Cheers,
NastiaThat’s right 8 days wasn’t working.. So I thought I would try move, to see if that made a difference, it didn’t
So you initial suggestion of 8days didn’t solve the issue and my solution of 16 days didn’t either.
What next?
Hello @wood1e
Hope all is well!
Please clarify to how much days you wish to set the Expiry Date? Based on the image you’ve shared, current expiry dates for images is set to 16 dates:
http://take.ms/NX9nZThis means the plugin has set the expiry dated to 16 dates, so it works. Feel free to set it to a higher date.
Please clarify why it is not working for you? Is after the performance test the score wan’t improved? If not, please share here a link to your site so we could have a closer look.
Please advise,
Kind regards,
NastiaMy question was why is the Expire dates not showing? even though I have set the expire dates?
Hello @wood1e
It is hard to say without checking your site. Please share here a link to your site so we could have a closer look at the performance report.
Please advise,
Kind regards,
NastiaHello @wood1e!
Hope you’re doing well!
I’ve tested your site with the https://www.giftofspeed.com/cache-checker/ and the expiry date for images is set to 16 days.
I’ve done the Performance report for your site and the Google Page Speed insight it is not showing any warning for Browser Leverage Caching from media files. Please note, that a performance scan needs to be run again to change the performance report. Before running a new Performance report scan please clear site’s and browser cache.
Hope this helps!
Kind regards,
Nastia
