Accessibility bug: mobile screen readers don’t read tooltips

Hello, I am a blind WordPress user and creator.

I tried to install the CM Tooltip Glossary to use on my personal web site as it’s the only one which claims to support accessibility guidelines WCAG.

But, while on the desktop PC screen readers manage to access tooltips correctly when tabbing on a linked term, mobile devices don’t.

When you reach a content via touch gesture with VoiceOver on iOS or talkback on android, screen reader just pronounces “tooltip content”, this exact sentence, instead of reading the whole tooltip – term’s definition. It seems that it has a sort of fallback text, which is detected when a certain command is not performed.

It’s because desktop screen reader and touch screen work differently, in term of focusing an element.

Please fix this. I was intentioned to buy a license of the pro version, but honestly I can’t offer a glossary to my readers when they can’t properly access the same experience with mobile devices.
