Abnormal statistics

    A couple of days ago, my site’s page views increased about 10-12 fold. The number of visitors just happened to be the same as the day before at 56 but the page views went up 660 from 119. Was it a glitch on the system as I cannot imagine visitors viewing about 10-11 pages each? I have a screen capture to show the anomaly:

    This is a curiosity question more than anything else. Now, I have to wait for a month for the graph bars to become reasonable!

    Hi @acekin

    I don’t see any evidence of a glitch in the system, although I suppose it’s a possibility. It’s also possible that an automated script may have been used to visit your site and load every page. Most scripts like search engine crawlers etc. won’t be counted in your stats, but it’s possible that some might be included, which could explain the sudden spike in views.
