Abbreviated menu text & redirects wrong?

Hello!

First of all I’d like it if the languages were abbreviated on the menu, for example EN for English, ES for Spanish, etc. right now I did a edit to your plugin to achieve this but would be good if the client could still receive updates 🙂
Perhaps add an option to edit how the text will print or an option for just abbreviations?

Secondly, I have it set to
Detect browser language and:
Automatically redirects the browser depending on the user’s language.
When I visit the website it acts accordingly and redirects me to /en (main language is French), but it shows the French home page! If I click on the English (United States) link in the admin bar it goes to /en/home/ which is the English home page, but the English link in the menu goes to /en/ which shows the French home page 🙁
How can I fix this?
