• Hello – I have been using Simple History for about a month and all has been working well until last week. It now is saying ‘Error 502 – Bad Gateway.’ I have tried to deactivate and reactivate it but no help. The notes say to contact you for assistance – so here I am. I would greatly appreciate your help! Not sure about this. Where and when does it says error 502?

Do you have any access to the php server logs? They may give useful information.

Hello – here is a link to an image of the error 502:

The error is in the Simple History box in my WordPress website dashboard.

Difficult to say, a 502 error can be many things. Can you get access to the server logs somehow? The PHP logs is the most interesting one, and it will probably contain more usefull info why this is happening.

Yes, I do have access to the server/PHP logs. But I’m not sure what I am looking for or what to do with the information. Can you provide further direction? thanks

I guess you should check if something is logged in the error log at the same time as you try to view the history log in wordpress. And if you try to view the history log again, check if the same message appear in the error log again. Not easy to say, but that’s where I would start.
