• I’m running Email before Download 5.1.1 and CF7 5.0 (and WordPress 4.9.4). When I came to the site (thedonorvoice.com) today, all of my subpages except the homepage were showing a 500 error when I would go to them. Assuming it was a plug-in update problem, I turned them off one-at-a-time. The site came back up when I deactivated Email before Download. Unfortunately, this makes our download forms unusable. Thoughts on changes I can make, or plug-in updates, to be able to reactivate the EBD plugin?

  • I am still having issues with EBD. (Customer Sender gone now) I have updated the plugin, activated it and it works! However when activated it is still stopping me login to my admin panel (it’s only because my login is saved on a previous session that I can get back in!!). I have refreshed cache, F5 but no joy. All my versions and plugins are up to date. If I deactivate it, I can login in as Admin from another tab. As soon as I activate it: 500 error….

Can you tell me what PHP version you are using? And if there is any other information with the 500 error?

Let me check with our host provider.

This is the error message: Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@this.domain to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    PHP 5.6

    That’s not much more helpful.

If you could email your host and see what the error log says, that would probably be the fastest way to figure out what the issue is.

This is what they say “It appears that an update has been run on your website and it has taken it down, this commonly happens when a plugin/theme is updated and does not work on the version of WordPress you are running or if the PHP version is changed to an incompatible version.”

That isn’t very helpful either. Could you ask them for the specific error from the logs? Tell them it’s to help the developer solve the issue.

I’m still struggling with this. PHP 7.0 – would that work??

After a long session with our host company I have finally been told definitively that Email Before Download is causing my inability to Admin login. Is it a compatibility issue with Monstroid Template V 1.1.3? I’ve been onto Monstroid too and they couldn’t tell me. Really need to fix this now, any ideas @mandsconsulting?

    Hi evrybody,

I ve just install EBD and create a download short cut :
    [email-download download_id=”569” contact_form_id=”568”]
569 is the ID for the download file in Download Monitor and 568 is the Id for the form in Contact Form

I’m using the following versions :
    WP : 4.9.3
    Contact Form 7 : 5.0.2
    Download Monitor : 4.1.0
    EBD : 5.1.9
Before I inser the code for download the page works fine.

On the page i ‘ve got the following message

Warning: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\email-before-download\includes\class-email-before-download-db.php on line 56
