300 Word Summary

    Is it possible to send a 300 word summary of the post to GMB instead of the complete post?

    Hi @findlay75,

    Currently there is no built-in function to do exactly that, but you could use the {{post.excerpt}} variable instead of the default {{post.content}} variable in Post to GMB > Settings > Auto-post settings. That will retrieve the post excerpt, which by default is 55 words.

    Note that the plugin already automatically truncates the post to fit within the GBP post limits (1500 characters).

    I’m exploring how AI could be utilized to generate a post summary, but I’m not yet sure how to implement it in an actually helpful and non-intrusive way.

    Was using the {{post.excerpt}} solution I provided sufficient? Or were you actually looking for something AI based that would summarize your post?
