    Hi guys, we’ve used your plugin on many client sites, from way back when it was ithemes, then Solid Security, now seemingly Kadence.

    We have one site in particular that uses the 2FA, sending codes to user emails. It’s working well, and the site has hundreds of users, all using the site frequently, so seeing the release notes mentioning QR codes for 2FA, makes me a bit uneasy.

    The users in question are comfortable with the ‘2FA code to email’ approach, and they would be completely out of their comfort zone with an authenticator app requirement.

    Can you please confirm whether the original (Solid Security Basic) 2FA code remains pretty much unchanged? Is the QR thing just an additional feature?

    Hi @crdunst,

    Glad you reached out to us, and fair question given the release notes.

    Yes, the Two-Factor Authentication functionality remains the same. The QR change is only for the optional authenticator-app setup, not for the email-code flow.
