Hi,
You find in mashshare settings->visual an option to disable this. I am currently not in office so i can not twll you the exact name of that option.

That worked – thanks.
It’s the last option on the Visual screen “Twitter popup disable”
Hi. Same problem, kinda.
On post with embedded twitter, yes, “Twitter pop up disable” solves the problem, but then that breaks posts with no embedded twitter.
So this page — http://natch.is/vote-best-hair-in-natural-mens-category/ — gets 2 pop ups now, but only 1 if I disable in settings. (There’s a twitter embed toward the bottom.)
But this page — http://natch.is/300-cokes-200-snickers/ — has 1 pop up now and goes to zero if I disable in settings.
Make sense? Thx.
Oh yes i see your problem. This is a very annoying problem because twitter automatically uses his own popup function when its embedded into any site.
I have to think more about it how to solve this.

Might not work for you but a potential workaround – put a recent Tweets widget in your sidebar.

I thought the same…:-) I am working on this, will surely come up with a solution soon. Would be nice if you could try any other share button plugin and let me know than if other plugins have the same problem.
The quickest fix would be to open the twitter share screen in a new window, but this does not look very clean on desktop systems, so i do not prefer this.
Thanks much. I thought of that workaround too — a widget in the sidebar. Might try it, not sure yet.
If I try another plugin I’ll let you know … any suggestions? I do really just need the share buttons for now.
Then again, I might just wait for your brain to crack the code 🙂
I agree that the new window is a less elegant solution.
