1.38.1 breaks Elementor theme

    The latest update 1.38.1 ( 2024-12-24 ) breaks a regular theme built with Elementor. WP goes in recovery mode. Version 1.38 works fine. Please fix. Obfuscated log:

    An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 38 of the file /home/***/public_html/wp-content/themes/mental-care/admin/installer/importer/forminator.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Attempt to assign property “can_export” on null in /home/***/public_html/wp-content/themes/mental-care/admin/installer/importer/forminator.php:38

    Hello @acroplex,

    I hope things are going well for you.

    I checked with Forminator, Elementor, and the Twenty-Twenty-Five theme. Elementor works fine with Forminator’s latest version, and I couldn’t replicate any issue.

    Regarding the error logs mentioned specifc with mental-care. I am not getting this theme freely available in the WordPress repository.

    Since this is a premium theme and we don’t have any license or access to it, the best course of action would be to reach out to the theme support and check if they have the latest version that is compatible with Forminator and Elementor’s latest version.

    Also, you can try temporarily switching to the Twenty-Twenty-Five Default WordPress theme. However, before doing this, create a site full backup.

    Thanks Imran. Indeed, the issue was resolved with an update from the theme vendor. Forminator works.
