Custom Sidebars do not show on page

Hi,

I installed Custom Sidebars and in the dashboard everything works perfect. I can see the custom sidebars, adjust them, define where they are supposed to be shown, etc.

They do not, however, show on the actual blog. So when I try to apply it to, let’s say, category a, I still have the main sidebar showing up when I open the page displaying category a.

I am using a child theme of the theme “Match” https://wordpress.org/themes/match

I do have a wp_head() function in the theme’s header (although I have no clue what it actually does), so that should not be the issue.

I have also enabled the function of allowing the main sidebar to be replaced, so that cannot be the issue either.

Any other ideas?
