Installed and auto-activated without consent

As a Siteground customer, I do not expect them to install and auto-active plugins for me without my consent.

The evidence that this is poor practice has been out there for a long time in the WordPress community and the fact they chose to ignore those invaluable lessons from before and force their AI plugin on their customers is a pretty hideous decision. It smacks of corporate arrogance.

Siteground – you managed to install the plugin en-masse, now create a way for your customers to disable it en-masse through the Siteground dashboard! If I am responsible for a number of websites, I do not want to have to go through them one-by-one and uninstalling where this plugin is not needed, unless you’re going to pay me for my time that is?

I used to be a fan of Siteground and would recommend them frequently. This move has me questioning their value.
