We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the recent changes.
To clarify, we recently reached out to all our WordPress customers regarding the upcoming WordPress 7.0 update and its new built-in AI features. As part of that update, we noted that we would be pre-installing the SiteGround AI Agent plugin.
This action was taken in order to provide our customers with an easy, ready-made connection between their websites and a verified AI provider, specifically, our SiteGround AI Studio service. We activated this for everyone by default and included 20,000 free tokens so that the service can be tested.
That being said, the use of the plugin and tool is absolutely not mandatory. You can uninstall the plugin whenever you like or swap it out for a different one. Our goal was to ensure that these new WordPress 7.0 features worked right out of the box without you having to deal with any extra setup.

Did that notice about the upcoming 7.0 update mention anything about how to opt out? Because if it did not, saying its use is “not mandatory” does not excuse or rebuild the trust broken by auto-installing something on your client’s applications without their consent. That is the problem here.
