Hi @zac564,
We’ll be happy to help you figure out any issues you’re running into. Unfortunately I don’t fully understand the issue you are experiencing. Are you able to provide us with more details and/or perhaps a few screenshots?

SEO title and meta change when I update the pluginHi @zac564,
Thanks for your reply!
If I understand correctly, when you’re trying to update All in One SEO, your old information gets reverted.
However, we currently don’t have All in One SEO v.5.0, we’re currently in version 4.5.3.1.
If you’re updating to 4.5.3.1, and the issue continues happening, could you please run a plugin conflict test to see what could be causing this?
You can use the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/) to debug possible conflicts by following the steps below:- Go to Plugins > Add New and install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
- Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins and click on Troubleshoot below the All in One SEO plugin. This will temporarily disable all other plugins and switch to the default WordPress theme only for your user ID without impacting what your visitors see.
- Check if you’re able to reproduce the problem.
- If not, activate your theme and check again.
- If you’re still unable to reproduce the issue, activate the plugins one by one and simultaneously check if the issue occurs.
- Once you’re done troubleshooting, deactivate and delete the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
Please let me know how it goes.

By the way, my theme is Newspaper v8. Could this be the reason?Hi @zac564,
Thanks for your reply. Using a custom theme such as Newspaper v8 can be a reason, which is why we suggest doing the Troubleshooting steps I outlined before. Essentially, you want to discard any potential conflicts your site could be having with another plugin or theme.
If possible, please try these steps and let me know how it goes:
- Go to Plugins > Add New and install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting (https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/) plugin.
Hi @zac564,
We haven’t heard back from you in a couple of days. I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
Thanks! -
