I need to update the email address iTheme Security sends the Authentication Codes to. It’s currently sending to our companies noreply address. I can’t find where I can update this.

Hi @tylerburgess365, thank you for reaching out. As mentioned by @nlpro, kindly update the email address field by going to WP Dashboard > Users > Profile. I hope this helps!

So that thread is asking to update my own profile email address. Each user has their own personal email address, however when trying to login and prompted to check email for an authentication code, all those emails are sent to a noreply email address for every single user – not their own unique profile email address.

I’m not sure why it’s doing that, so i’m trying to figure out how to change that email address or update iTheme to email profile’s directly.

    Thanks!

    Hi tylerburgess365,

If the personal email addresses are properly set in user’s profiles it must be something caused outside WordPress. Perhaps some setting in the server email configuration like forwarding to the noreply email address.

Try and reach out to your hosting company. They may be able to figure this out.

    Hi tylerburgess365,

Another option is to check the Debug entries in the iTSec plugin Logs page.

Login and navigate to the Security > Logs menu option.

First, under Screen Options make sure Show debug entries. is enabled.

Then filter for all Notification Center (debug) entries. Check for any entries with Description -> Sending Two-Factor Email. Click on the View Details link of any matching entry and finally click on the Show Raw Details link.

Under Data -> Recipients -> 0 you should see the email address used to send the email to.

Hi @tylerburgess365, to add with nlpro’s recommendations, could you also do the following:
    – Check the iTSec Notification settings (if possible, specify a From Email address)
    – Check if there is an email forwarder mechanism in your server
    – Check if your SMTP plugin/Email Client is using a filter

    I hope the above helps.
