When I went to update yesterday, the entire Jetpack plugin disappeared from my WP dashboard.

I apparently lost all past stats, including list of email followers, as well as the form on my site for signing up to notification.

When I try to reinstall the plugin, I get error message: Installation failed: Destination folder already exists. I don’t know how to find that folder, and I’m hoping my data is still in there in the background somewhere.

    What do I do now?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @iska88

I’m sorry for the difficulty that you are having.

If you have access to your server (such as via FTP), you can delete the /wp-content/plugins/jetpack folder and then reinstall and reconnect Jetpack. Otherwise, you can reach out to your hosting provider to have them help remove the folder.

You shouldn’t lose any settings or any of your stats or subscribers in doing so, as that info is stored in our system here.

Thank you, @bobmatyas – indeed that did the trick. I found the file, deleted it, reinstalled Jetpack, and voila, all the stats, subscribers, and form were back. Relief here.
