I just got this error when I updated the plugin to Version 3.9.17:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘?’ in /var/www/MYSITE/wp-content/plugins/enhanced-tooltipglossary/settings/Settings.php on line 32

    Hi,

This line contains the PHP feature which is only available in PHP7. So that means your site is probably still running on a very old PHP 5.6. Please upgrade your PHP version and this error will be gone.

Do you know which version still works with php5 and can I download that from somewhere?

    Thanks, MD

We do not have a version at the moment which is supporting PHP 5.X
