Hello @haymondo,
I was not able to spot any active hustle popups as of now on your site. I also see that you need to optimize your site assets to improve the site score.
You can check your site score using some page speed insight tools like :
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/These should give you suggestions on the improvement of the site score.
You can also check and try using some site optimisation and caching plugins if you are not using anyone. Please make sure you just use one site optimization plugin to avoid any conflicts.
For now, your site loaded in 12.6 seconds for me. Can you enable the popups and then let us know so to check that further and analyze what causes delay there?
My estimation is you would need optimization there too to improve the scores.
I am looking forward to hearing from you on it.Regards
Prathamesh PalveHi I have installed WP Super Cache and it appears to have speeded a little but it is still not as quick as what it should be. I have left your plug in activated on the home page and compare prices page so you can view the speed issue.

Hello @haymondo
I hope you are doing well!
I’ve scanned your site with GTMetrix and your site can be optimized more. Please see this screenshot:
https://take.ms/jr4xzAYour site size is almost 7MB, please consider optimizing images that are loading on your site. As well, there are 215 requests. The more request a page is making, the slower a site loading speed will be. Please consider combining all the files.
Enable Gzip Compression for a better site’s performance.
Please feel free to run a GTMetrxi test without an opt-in enable don your site to compare the performance report.
Kind regards,
NastiaThanks for the info, but that does not explain why our site speed is fine without your plugin active, I have deactivated your plug in again and our site is fine.
Please take a look
Hi @haymondo,
Do you have Asset Optimization enabled in Hummingbird perhaps?
If the Asset Optimization is running and minifying your files it’s possible that it can take a bit of a hit on your server resources and reduce the loading time until the process is finished.Could you grab us a screenshot of the speed score that you’re getting without Hummingbird, and then activate Hummingbird, if Asset optimization is running give it around 10 minutes to process the files and for the server to cool down and then run another test and share the screenshot of that as well so we can see what the differences might be here.
Cheers,
Predragwhat and where is hummingbird?

Hustle Disabled: https://monosnap.com/file/8CSCvQoTh0RtljL6XRTi7aeloFiL3L
Hello @haymondo
Thank you for sharing these screenshots, they are helpful.
I checked them both, I’ve visited and checked the site and I’ve run the site through GTMetrix test twice.
I believe that Hustle is currently disabled on site, right? I didn’t see any popups showing up and no traces of any Hustle scripts being loaded. And yet, I got the “Fully Loaded Time” at 8.5s on first test and 8.6s on second test. GTmetrix was set to test from London UK using Chorme 75, just like during your test:
https://monosnap.com/file/UynVeA7o6GHo9QNUyL1Fk7EJaVHuo7
However, a look at “Waterfall” chart shows something that seems to be strictly related to that. There’s a (failed) request form some Facebook ajax URL that takes very long time:
https://monosnap.com/file/VFN84T7nyHrtrySyZnOkcUy64LsFpD
It wouldn’t be coming from Hustle popups (and especially if Hustle is disabled), though it is most likely issues by one of the plugins on site. I’m not familiar with site configuration but I’d strongly suggest testing the site behavior with any Facebook-related options/plugins temporarily disabled – just for sake of testing/reference.
I wouldn’t rule out that some plugin on site might be actually conflicting with Hustle too, causing additional load time increase but then again – it would be best to first identify what’s issuing that request that I mentioned above, take care of it, and only after that test again with Hustle.
That said, could you please check those Facebook-related options/plugins on the site and do such test?
Kind regards,
AdamI have cloned the site to a staging server.
I worked my way through all the plugins and found the only one to be causing this is the GEODIRECTORY plugin, this is the main plugin for the theme. Does this help you narrow down the issue?here is the staging site https://staging.martial-arts-schools.com/ at present only hustle and GeoDirectory are enabled and the speed issue is present, if I was to turn off GeoDirectory and enable all the other plugins its fine, but obviously the theme would be broken.
Please let me know if you require any logins to the staging site,
Many Thanks
Ray
Hi
Have you looked at the staging site?Hello @haymondo,
I am afraid in that case, you will have to ping the Geo Directory plugin authors to check this further as they would need to check this further as to why things are lagging.
Also, as my colleagues suggested in previous replies, there is quite a bit scope to work on your site score. You will manually need to minify assets so that they have an improvement in the load time.
Maybe you can an advanced Asset Optimization plugin like the Hummingbird plugin and then try and minify assets manually and then check the scores too.
Should you have any doubts or need any help, feel free to reply back in the thread here.
