Error message in the backend
-
Hi,
I keep getting this error message in the backend of a client’s website every time I make a page update with the Yoast SEO plugin active.“Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in /wp-admin/includes/translation-install.php on line 66”
I first tried deactivating all of the plugins I’m using in a attempt to replicate the error message. Nothing.
I then tried activating all of my plugins individually one by one to see which one is triggering the error. Nothing until I came to the Yoast plugin.
Finally I tried running the site without Yoast active. No error message whatsoever.
Has anyone else encountered this problem before?
Thank you for you time.

Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch with Yoast.
Can you confirm if the issue occurs when you switch to a standard theme like TwentyNineteen (https://wordpress.org/themes/twentynineteen/) and only enable Yoast Premium?
You may wish to install the Health Check plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/) first since it allows you to deactivate plugins without affecting your live site.
We look forward to hearing from you.
