Hi @killertunes,
do you have that giveaway published so I can check it out?
Since the giveaway, with that option enabled, is relying on the themes’ code, there might be an issue with how the pages/posts are coded and the style for them.
If you could provide me with a link to that giveaway so I can see what all the conflicts are there and try to remove them in the next update.
sounds similar to my issue (except my content is entirely missing) & I’m just using twentyseventeen theme
@ibenic I made a new temporary giveaway for you to look at. https://wwjjd.net/giveaway/test/

Hi @killertunes,
the colors are like that because the theme you’re using is setting the colors to be as such due to some “dark-colors” or dark theme option probably.
You can try to go to Giveaways > Settings and then under Scripts > Style add .giveasap_box{color:#000;}

@ibenic I will take a look at that later this evening & will update you with my results. I am using the dark option in the WP 2017 theme.
Thanks for the help by the way.

@ibenic I added that script. Take a look at the link now. I think that fixed it.

Awesome @killertunes, glad I could have helped you!
@igor How do I get that test link off that post? Constantly getting redirects from this page.
I’m talking about this thread. Earlier I posted that link to the test page. I want to remove that link but I don’t see any option to edit my posts in this thread.
Hi @killertunes, I’ve contacted the moderator team about your request.

Unless it is an extreme case, posts and replies here are not edited.
https://wordpress.org/support/forum-user-guide/faq/#my-post-shows-up-on-a-search-for-my-domain-will-you-delete-my-post-or-my-link
Search engine hits are never considered extreme. Topics are not edited for that reason.
The link will not be removed.
@jdembowski After the week I’ve had nothing is surprising about this. I made the post. I should be able to edit or delete it at will. I shouldn’t have even had to ask @ibenic about it. You are saying that I have to endure 404 errors referred from that link I want removed for the entire life of my production website because for unknown reasons you won’t let users edit/delete parts or all of their previous posts in a thread.

I’m sorry, you feel that way but that’s not how it is here.
Users can edit their posts or replies up to 60 minutes from when they first posted it. After that, users cannot edit them. There are literally over a million posts and replies in these forums and only in valid cases are they removed or edited.
Search engine hits are never a valid reason. A 404 entry in your log or analytics is even less than that.
I’m closing this topic now as there isn’t anything left to cover. If it were your email, phone, address, etc. that would be removed. A 404 doesn’t come close to any of those.
