Photos rotated

    Hi, I have a few photos that were taken portrait. When I upload to media they are rotated onto their side. I installed a plugin to fix this and it hasn’t worked. Also, if I click edit image and then try to manually rotate the image this won’t work at all either. Any advice very much appreciated

    You may want to disable that plugin as there are default options that allow you to rotate images you have saved.
    Just to be 100% clear, if you go to your media in your WP dashboard, click on the image, and have the menu with cropping and rotation, clicking on the rotations do nothing? Can you elaborate a bit on “this image won’t work at all”? Do the buttons appear grayed out, or are they non-responsive?

    Are you able to rotate other images in your dash?

    Hi, thank you. The buttons are just unresponsive. It is the same on every image I try, not just images that are shot in portrait.

    So, when you rotate your image, it essentially re-creates it and your server might not have enough memory to do that. Try testing the rotation with a really small image (less than 1mb) and see if it works.
