Paid $30 to upgrade to pro version 2.4 and used it just fine on my website. It's seasonal so we didn't check it for a while. Got two months out of it when he upgraded to a new version -- this after I paid for lifetime support -- and he disabled somehow the functioning of the plugin we purchased.

Now he's up to version 3 and those of us with "lifetime" support and upgrades are totally screwed.

Missing English .PO file in the language folder
By , for WP 4.2.2

Have setup my form using the free version of VFB. Needed to translate the form from English to Danish, and under normal circumstance you would be able to find the en_EN .po file under the language folder. To my surprise, this was not the case, and the only .PO & .MO files I see are as listed below.

No biggy I tell myself, I can just translate it myself by renaming the "visual-form-builder" file which I would assume was the en_EN .PO file. I open it in POEdit and get cracking on the translation. Many translation done, I save the file to it match my language "visual-form-builder-da_DK", it generates the .PO & .MO needed. I upload them to the language folder for VFB, jus to see that nothing has changed on my site. I think, ok, I might have done a error in saving it. I check, check again, still not update the language... Mmmm, I clear cache, cookies and what not. Didn't change a thing. So I googled "how to translate visual form builder" I go into your site, and under "Support" / "Knowledge base" I search on translation and get one hit up.. To my supprise, I have to be a VFBpro user before I'm able to do the translation via the site... This means that I would have to pay for the plugin just to do the translation for the plugin!! What's that all about..

Could you please add the proper English .PO to the plugin so we can translation ourselves without have to start paying for something we don't need to begin with? If I have missed something some where, please let me know.

Annoyed over this, hence the one star rating.

Paid version is a No-Go
By , for WP 4.2.2

We use the paid version. They have secretely updated to a new version, leaving all lifetime members out. No message at all, not even an upgrade offer. Said to see their non existent loyalty with early phase supporting and paying customers. However I would not pay again for Visual Form Builder and have to migrate all forms.

Lack of support

We use the paid version for a long time and it works fine but with the latest update, some features does not work such as rules, page breaks etc

official web site does not accept order number...

Free is great, just don't go to Pro

The free version of this plugin is awesome, but I made the mistake of actually paying for an "upgrade". The paid version doesn't work anywhere near as good as the free version. Paid doesn't have sections, and it can't handle as many fields in a form.

Unfortunately there is no refund policy, so I have to let everyone else know to not waste your money when going to the paid verison.

Total waste of money

I tried to get a refund and they denied me the refund. The free version works fine but the pro version has all sorts of glitches and doesn't work properly. DO NOT BUY the pro version. The free version is great for something simple.

Wish I would never have purchased this.

no to the pro version.

I faced the same problem than the user here called "webmaster in texas". I have bought the pro version of the form because i was looking for a payment gateway (paypal). After installing it, i discovered i could not use it with my theme (oneengine).
Anyways, the documentation didn't mention anything about installing the payment plugin.
On their support page, they advise to uninstall the theme.
it is kind of crazy for me to be forced to choose a theme that will work with my theme. I am not going to do that. I prefer to buy another plugin.
By the way, the free version of VFB worked. it means the template didn't block the plugin & it is a bug of the VBF pro version.
In fact, the issue was related to the fact that the credentials were not installed.
I had to install the plugin called members.
Then, i went to users > roles (option added by members plugin) > administrator
Then i clicked on "add new capabilities"
Then, i added all the roles from this page
and it worked.

Best. Form. Plugin. Period.

I've used this free version for years. I upgraded to the Pro version recently and after a few 'glitches' with a permissions issue, related to WP and the plugin, I was off and running. Unlike some other people, I didn't immediately assume the problems were with the plugin, because the free version was rock-solid. I reached out to support. Got the help I needed within a couple of hours, and all is well. I'm happy. Awesome pro support. Awesome plugin. All others pale by comparison. Don't even think about the free contact form in Jetpack.

Great plugin!
