Mostly OK, but some submissions are not being emailed to me. The user gets a confirmation email and the submission appears online but the whole point of using this was to have each submission emailed directly to me. There is no pattern in the submissions it doesn't send on and they are clearly not spam. This unreliability means I won't be using VFB again.
Basically, it does a good job. But there is a catch you should be aware of. There is paid PRO version of this plugin. And some of you may one day need the Pro version for some features. And then the nightmare starts. The plugin's creators claim that you can migrate your forms from the free version to the paid version.
But what they not tell you is that your forms will look very different in the pro version and you will have a lof of work to do to make your forms in the Pro Version the same as they looked in the free version. I have about 20 forms on my site which I now need to all update to look properly. Proly 3,4 hours work that I did not anticipate.
I just wanted you to know about this.
Other than this the plugin works well and if you never need to upgrade to the Pro Version you should be fine.
I've used vfb for some time now rather than cf7 and it always delivers. Hope to opt in to pro version but seems there are no discount all through the year...
Happy power user.
With Best Regards
I think this plugin is far better than any other contact form plugins.
Very good form builder with a few minor bugs and too much adverts. Will these be gone when buying the pro version? For example
* removal of donate button
* removal of "This email was built and sent using Visual Form Builder."
* removal of Follow on twitter
* removal to rate the plugin.
Using the VFB plugin for several years now and still loving it! I've encountered with a few minor glitches during all these years that were almost trivial and they were corrected very quick.
UPDATE: I just upgraded and paid for the FORCED upgrade and additional payment of this plugin.
I followed their instructions to the letter. Backed up all my forms and update the plugin.
I LOST ALL MY FORMS. The import didn't work. Days and days of work gone. This buggy plugin just cost my $100's and $100's of work.
Find a another plugin folks. This one is confusing, buggy and frustrating.
I have had this plugin for two years. The support is mediocre. And there are so many email settings I have no idea who is getting these emails and who is going to get the reply.
Some of the settings (like the reply-to-email) setting are not editable once you set it. I set the reply-to-email to my email for testing purposes and now that email is grayed-out and uneditable.
I have to make a new form.
Hours wasted with this. It is so buggy and confusing. My advice - find another plugin.
its been awesome to use VFB.
The form works great, although with the new WordPress update, the backend of the form no longer works.
Because the developer has an all new purchase system, clients who purchased the plugin in 2013 need to purchase the new plugin to have the ability to place a tech support ticket due to their Order Number no longer being valid.
I placed a message on the free Forum, no response. I emailed the developer twice, no response. I tweeted for help and I was advised to purchase the plugin again to talk to technical support. I asked why I need to purchase, again, the "One time fee". He stated, "One time fee means we don't charge a yearly renewal like every other plugin developer out there."
After research, I do believe I need to update the plugin manually, since it does not allow me to update automatically. It's something my website guy can do, but nonetheless, it would be nice if there was a way I could have some kind of access to tech support, since I am a paying customer.
Update: I had to pay my web guy to correct the issue, but Mathew and his team were helpful and thorough along the way.
This is the best plugin for WP forms. First I installed just because of the drag and drop feature... and what I got it is just amazing. Thank you for this plugin and thank your for your hard work. I'll recommend this plugin to my friends too:)
