Good Concept, but Didn't Work Well
By , for WP 4.5.3

This is an interesting and potentially very useful concept for sure, but the execution seems a bit off. I started to follow one of the tutorials, it asked me to click on a specific link, I clicked said link, and then the plugin kept telling me that it was not registering clicks while in audio mode or something like that.. if they mean for this tool to help newbies, it's potentially going to cause frustration more than good. Seems like an obvious bug that needs to be fixed.

Crisp plugin, solid code plus lots of potential...
By , for WP 4.5

I would say this plugin deserves to be Favorited by your organization. It'll help your buddies while they learn WordPress. Also, this plugin is open source too... and don't forget abowt the support team. Responsive, friendly and available on Sunday.

Should you decide to invest in Sidekick.pro, I have a feeling you'll like doing business with these Canadians...eh?

OoO and also, everything consistently works across Chrome, FF and IE.

Experiencing Problems
By , for WP 4.3.1

Somehow it keeps switching to audio only which makes it impossible to follow along with the walk through.
And then it asks me to upgrade. So much for it being free ...

Awesome support
By , for WP 4.3.1

Had a conflict with an old version of a theme and instead of the usual "not our problem" SideKick just fixed it on their end in less than one day.

Nice intro for new WPs, but annoying bug in recent version
By , for WP 4.1.1

Use this plugin across my sites as a helpful stepping stone for those who are not used to WordPress.

However, with the most recent update (2.2.0) there is a bug in the version #'s so it appears to always need an update. If that could be tuned, that'd be nice.

Good plugin

Most Excellent!

Don't listen to the negativity. Sidekick is incredible. It will help you and your clients immensely. Support is terrific as well.

Give it a try and you'll find out for yourself.

Everybody makes missteps now and then. I, for one, am not going to let that get in the way of supporting a superb company. Ben Fox and the crew have done a magnificent job of putting together a true gem of an automatic support system.

Sidekick Pro is a game changer. Believe that.

P.S. -Make sure you upgrade. You'll thank me later. ;)

How can this plugin not have a higher rating. It runs flawlessly and provides AMAZING support for my users. It saves me SO much time and is so easy to use. So what if it cost a little bit to have access to the other tutorials. They give you enough free tutorials that allows this plugin to be very useful without the subscription service. They have done a good job at balancing the free tutorials with the paid tutorials and I appreciate that.

Can't wait to see where this plugin ends up in a few years.

This plugin was installed/activated by MediaTemple without my permission

This plugin was installed/activated by Media Temple without my permission. I already deleted it and I will move to another web hosting company. Media Temple have installed it without my acceptance or knowledge. This plugin is very bad.

LOVE Sidekick
By , for WP 4.1

Personally, as a more advanced user of WordPress, I don't exactly need all the materials in this plugin, but the content is great! I know that I would have benefited from this plugin when I first started with WordPress.

Even in light of the recent controversy, this is a great plugin and anyone looking to learn more about WordPress should use it. I mean, where else can you get such interactive learning?

I don't think auto-activating this plugin on existing GoDaddy/MediaTemple sites was the right thing to do, and there were definitely mistakes made, but let's take a step back.

Have you heard ANYONE say "This plugin was installed and it broke my site!" Nope. I think people are overreacting. I'm glad that plugins like SideKick exists and I hope they continue to grow and succeed.
