Surprisingly good

Does what it says on the tin and does it well. I use Yoast Pro so didn't want this to manage my redirections but just log the errors etc. Very happy with it

Needed Plugin
By , for WP 4.4

I used this plugin to help track the problem of 404 alert page that kept appearing in the header area of all my WordPress site pages, including in the Admin area.

The part that helped was the IP address that was requesting pages that did not exist and a couple times a hacker did that leaving his IP address.

Well, because this WordPress site is designed for a local business, a person from Russia or China has no value as a visitor to the site so he got blocked and this helped reduce the incessant 404 displays. It did not resolve the issue, it helped and any help against hackers is priceless. 5 Stars :)

Excellent plugin

Should the developer add the option to also view the 404s in a condensed way (like in 404-error-monitor) it would be a 5 stars tool for any WP site. Eventually the possibility to sort it by URL or by IP, I don't know.

I can't wait for a future update in this sense. Good work!

Exactly what I needed
By , for WP 4.3.1

I have tried some other 404 plugins. This one is exactly what I needed. Well deserved 5 stars.

Very good 404 logger
By , for WP 4.2.2

Formerly I used “404-error-monitor” (which is very good, too), but the lack of IP and user agent makes it difficult to analyze the 404s.

This plugin provides all necessary information.

The DuckDuckGo !whois query when clicking on an IP is a very friendly detail. (No need to use Google for everything…)

Some minor wishes:

  • The ugly warning about caching plugins should not appear if one of the compatible plugins is detected. (WPSC, W3TC)
  • An alternate, “quick” view: A switchable view that compresses multiple 404s to the same path into one line, with indication of the number of occurrences. (See 404-error-monitor). This would provide a more compact overview (instead of a very long list) in cases when you didn’t check/clean the list for a week or so.

Thanks for the plugin!

Works as expected
By , for WP 4.0

Was after a plugin to keep track of 404 logs and this does just that

Works great, compatible with Lite Cache
By , for WP 3.9.2

And I really appreciate the CSV export option.
No compatibility problems with Lite Cache.

This plugin is the best to log 404 errors
By , for WP 3.5.2

I tried also the 404 error monitor but i discovered the 404 error monitor also logged 301 and considered it as 404.

On the other this plugin does the job. It is light for wordpress and it is not going to slower your administration pages load.

The user agent is also logged along with the HTTP referrer and IP address.

Great Plugin!

We've tested this plugin and the only thing is, that JQuery is not active. So minus 1 star. Congratulation!

Simple and Effective plugin
By , for WP 3.4.2

This plugin is extremely simple and effective.

This plugin does not have any special features, as I said, it's very simple.

I use it for my site/blog, Bypass Censorship, and it works great.

I have actually found malicious bots (such as the eZooms bot) through this plugin. Obviously those bots have now been blacklisted by my site.

Thanks for the plugin!
