I already requested Google to remove the outdated urls that have no contact anymore and were created by the previous domain owner. I guess then I don’t have to redirect those urls to an existing page? Otherwise, I am not sure what would be the proper or better way to do if I change the slug in an url in wordpress or Yoast SEO, redirect the old url to the existing one or just request Google to remove the old one? Thanks for your help

Thank you, Jeff. I’ve downloaded another caching plugin since then, but I can give it a try to see if it works what you just said. Can I just deactivate the other plugin and do those steps you said? Where can I find the .htaccess file? I tried to find it in File Manager in cPanel, but didn’t see there.
As for the Autoptimize plugin options for CSS and JS I have the followings ticked in:Optimize JavaScript Code?
Aggregate JS-files?
Optimize CSS Code?
Aggregate CSS-files?
Also aggregate inline CSS?Do I need anything extra?
I had the problem with the header image only when both Autoptimize and WPCacheOn were active at the same time. If only one of them was active then no problem occured.thanks for your help,
Thanks, it seems that the problem is coming when both Autoptimize and WPCacheOn plugins are activated and the Sydney theme might have nothing to do with it.

In reply to: pages created by previous website owner with no contentThank you. Actually, I am pretty new to working with wordpress as it is my first website. So, it is still confusing when a page is erased if it is still in Google index but the page is not exisitng yet, or when I change a slug in the url in wordpress why I still have the previous non-existant page indexed. So, I just thought that there are solutions for these problems in wordpress as I those pages were created in wordpress, e.g. how to do redirect in wordpress, etc.
Thank you. I’ve run the URL Inspection tool in Goggle Search Console. So, I might need to do it more times. Then, will these pages disappear? Don’t I need to do a redirecting to the site with the new URL extension? I just do not know what would be the proper steps to take when someone changes the slug. Thanks for your help.

Thank you. I tried it but it didn’t help. Actually, the old theme like header and colors came back with it.

that could have been the problem. I just inserted the short code with the phone number in the Appearance/Widget/Footer 1/Sydney/Contact info field before. Now,I am using text widget and wondering how I can have the phone icon and the mail icon in front of my phone number and email address if I use the text widget instead of the contact widget. I tried again everything, even changed visitor-email to visitorn-email, in case visitor-email is taken by wordpress, but peoblem is still not resolved.
