Support » Theme: Sydney » Header image disappear when working with Sydney and using Autoptimize

I am using the Autoptimize plugin to optimize css, etc. to improve my page load speed and for some other reasons. I used Sydney theme to build my website and also used some additional css too. However, a strange thing happens when Autoptimize is switched on, the header image on my pages disappear. When Autoptimze is switched off the website seemingly works fine, however page load speed drops. I tried to exclude header-image from optimization but it didn’t help. Is there any way to get around this problem when working with Sydney? Any other way to optimize a site that uses Sydney theme?

Hi, I’m autoptimize’s developer. First and foremost try to identify what is breaking your site by just disabling CSS or JS or Image optimization (incl. lazyload).

Once you know that, dive in and try identify what code/ files (CSS or JS) are responsible for the broken feature and try excluding that.

If the problem is with JS, chances are you’ll find useful information on your browser’s developer console.

There’s more info in the troubleshooting tips and info on exclusions in the AO FAQ.

    hope this helps,

Thanks, it seems that the problem is coming when both Autoptimize and WPCacheOn plugins are activated and the Sydney theme might have nothing to do with it.
