Thanks for the help. Let me explain otherwise what I found out. If I use a youtube block and insert the normal URL, it works without and with YT Lyte active.
If a user inserts the embed-URL from the iframe code, than the youtube block converts to an weird looking embed block. And if I have this weird looking embed block, with YT Lyte inactive it gets shown like normal video. But with YT Lyte active, than the space gets added. This looks like a uncaught WordPress youtube block issue, combined with your plugin it rans into display issue.
So if I just insert the usual Youtube URL into the Youtube block, all works fine! 🙂
Hi, I tried a lot. The last days, I only cleared page cache (wordpress), not from my browser. After clearing all caches, I wasn’t able to reproduce. I tried:
Embed video via embed block (not youtube block) -> not possible. The last days, this was possible.
No space appears anymore, at editor and rendered page.
Thank you anyway for the dumbest issue a user can make, not bewaring of the cache.
Thank you, but this still don’t work. I saw that at the block editor, even if I don’t use columns, the video block appears a lot bigger than the video part itself. That’s what the rendered page also looks like.
I tried adding your code suggestion to “WordPress -> Appearance -> Customize -> Custom CSS”. I also tried adding it to “Enfold Theme settings -> General styling -> Quick CSS”. Both, no success.
I found out that all Embed blocks contain this at “additional css classes”. Deleting one or both has direct impact on the view at the block editor, but not at the rendered site.

Currently, I have embedded the top video at the site via youtube iframe, and the bottom videos via youtube embed block. If you have any further ideas, this would be great!

thanks a lot! I tried step 3 (i selected the checkboxes for the new thumbnails sizes so they will be optimized by TinyPNG) and 4 (Exclude thumbnail backup in backwpup). I think step 2 was made while regenerating thumbnails with option “delete old unregistered sizes”. Step 1 didn’t succeed, but thats okay. So now my backup is much smaller than before.
Hi, thanks for replying. I wanted to translate the few english words in the editor and the translation page says that you have to configure somthing to make it possible. But if its too small, it’s okay.
