he main way I do this by always taking a full backup of a WordPress website, including the WP database, before making any significant changes like this.
That way you can always get back to where you were, before you started your changes and try a different approach, if things go wrong.
I just did exactly that, but that’s not a permanent solution. Thanks anyway.
I have the same problem. After updating to the recent version of this plugin, all my contact forms are gone. I don’t even find the table contact_form_7 in my mysql database. How can I get these complicated forms of mine back?
