You are asking me after release of wordpress 5.6 to download another plugin to fix a problem that you dont even mention which problem will be solved with that..
You didnt take the time to answer 3 weeks and 5 minutes after my one star rating you came up with an answer here, not even in the support forum..
Already looking for alternative ways of hardening mate.. thanx for nothing..

So to be clear. In my frequent backups for a site on air and in case we want to retrieve the site from a previous backup with the previous 2FA Authentification to be enabled:
Before the full site’s backup, we turning firewall to learning mode or disable the wordfence totally?
In any case if I understand correctly the 2FA authentification doesnt go away if I disable wordfence neither if I delete the Wordfence tables and data on deactivation, under Dashboard => Wordfence => Global options => General Options ?
If Im right, for a proper migration without to have problem of breakage of Wordfence and stil keep my 2FA auth system, Im disabling Wordfence and delete wordfence data (not the security tables, under the ‘Login Security Settings’) and when I migrate I login to my new migrated site with my 2FA token, normally, importing my previous General Wordfence settings and its done?

As for the choice of ignore the file option we tried many times but wordfence it comes back again..
I think it would be wiser to go with your suggestion on deleting index/php and add a rule for that in .htaccess
Btw do you have in handy that .htaccess rule to avoid lookin around for that?Rgrds

Unfortunatelly the thing that you didnt change any file without updating and due to the reason that there was no wps hide login update in the period of time that this problem occurred (twice in the previous month), doesnt come to the conclusion that was a false-positive. It comes to the conclution that either an attacker found a way to modify your plugin’s file and Wordfence has no clue about that or that there must be a known breakage issue that makes your plugin vulnerable in attacks.
Either ways need more investigation from your side of view.

No problem that this is not an actual problem? And if thats the case why its been reported several times as a medium severity issue after Wordfence scan? It always saws that this file its been modified, without any need on modification as you dont provide an update for that in order for this file to be changes..!!
We are talking about the login page of our site and not for a plugin that its not so important and its getting more important issue after wordfence marked it several times as a medium importance issue. The “No problem” answer its not reflecting the agony we have about that.
Today after a week of no response we are searching another solution instead of your plugin, except if you can come around with a better answer than “No problem”
