The reason for me taking wordpress out of the site is because it uses too many resources. Those includes alone take a relatively large amount of processing power. If I have no other options then I will do that, but i’m hoping to be able to go with option 1 to be honest.
This is crazy that NOBODY even knows where to start for this….
you can lookup simple PHP caching and set the expire time for a day, or even a week. Or never and you can just delete the cache whenever you get new author. I mean….how often do you get new authors anyway?
I did something like this for many of the features on my site. Making your own caching script takes about 5 minutes once you find a good tutorial.
I use wp_super-cache and it works great.
