Understood.
Thanks again! This plugin is great. 🙂
Thanks for the unexpectedly turbo reply!
The site is using PayPal Standard … but this is the message that appears after a successful purchase.

Only way to fix this: get an SSL certificate?
I wish I could edit that message…
Sorry, I didn’t see your post from 5 days ago; I’ve quoted below in case any other impatient nerds happen upon this thread 😉

This is a bug in WordPress 4.3. They will fix it in WP 4.3.1
Use the following method to add the cart to the sidebar for now:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/adding-shopping-cart-to-the-sidebar-of-wordpress-site-3073Is this why the widget will NOT show up on ANY of my sites, even a brand-new test site with no other plugins installed?
Losing money.

I assure you, I am most calm. 😉
With all the hype and doom-and-gloom about the XSS hack last week, it appears (so far) to have been more bark than bite.
Of course, I understand it’s very bad if an anonymous person can gain admin access to a website. But if they don’t actually do anything … ?
No content deleted, no new posts or pages, nothing.
No files modified, no apparent scripts running.
Would scanning the database for a certain string expose anything? I guess it’s a matter of “who” hacks the site, not everybody would have the same motive.
Anyway, do I understand the guide correctly that the person may still be able to log in with their valid cookie, even if I’ve deleted the user? Or no?
Other than that, I don’t think any of the guide really applies.
I have a super-duper .htaccess file that already blocks access to various files and directories, but there were a couple things in the “security measures” link that I can add.
Thanks again!

In reply to: Updating to 4.0 doesn't work, please help?Tried again this morning – it worked fine. Servers must have just been busy.
Weeee!

In reply to: Updating to 4.0 doesn't work, please help?Well, I did that, and now I get:
Download failed.: Operation timed out after 300000 milliseconds with 2076314 out of 5020838 bytes received
It seems to me the real problem isn’t server execution time, it’s the download stalling.
I went and downloaded the file myself … I don’t suppose there’s a place I can upload it to manually via FTP so the updater sees the file and skips that part?

In reply to: Category post order broken?bah!
It was a plugin I was using, called “Custom Post Order” – it must have updated recently and started overriding all pages on the site (rather than on individual category pages). I unchecked “Apply to all categories” and the home page went back to normal.
Thanks. 😉

In reply to: WordPress 3.5, Media not showing in DashboardHmm. I just went back to Media Library, changed the dropdown from “Show all dates” to “April 2013” and now it’s showing my images.
O.o

In reply to: WordPress 3.5, Media not showing in DashboardWordPress 3.5.1 – same issue.
“hotfix” plugin no fixy.
Disabled all plugins – no fixy.
Downloaded entire installation of WordPress to my hard drive, found “translations.php” in folder “\wp-includes\pomo” — opened it, no occurrence of “$pattern” found. Should I add it?!
Of course, the question “Why is this happening in the first place?” begs to be asked, as this is only happening on ONE of my 40 websites.

In reply to: New way to "Store uploads in this folder" since 3.5 removed it?Argh. I really wish they’d left this one alone.
How to customize the upload folder:
