I think I will submit an issue on github with a video, but I have to screen record it, since this has been rolling for a couple of months now and haven’t seen any topics about it and I don’t understand how with these supposed 700K+ installations. The preview button of elementor simply doesn’t work for the static homepage, it’s not pulling the correct preview url/parameters when editing the page selected as static homepage. Other pages work fine.

If you save the draft on elementor (either through the arrow next to the update button or by hitting preview), and then use the wordpress preview button (by going to pages > all pages > page you want to preview), the preview works. The elementor draft is saving properly, so that works, and it can be previewed by wordpress, but it can’t be previewed by the elementor preview button.

@silentfox Were you able to solve this? I’m also having this problem and been having it for months know, both in different hosting providers and my own local development setups. With the default themes or generatepress. On initial install all works fine, even without any type of plugin, or custom theme, eventually elementor preview stops showing changes and I’ve never been able to keep track of what exactly does it. It just stops working. If I update the site then the push works and the site updates fine, but, no preview, and it is almost always on the Home page.

The thing I notice in the url is this,
On pages that work, this is what the parameter part of the preview url looks like
    ?preview_nonce=23f96df82a&preview=true
But, on the home page, the preview url looks like
    ?preview_nonce=e220367f4d
It initially has the &preview=true parameter, but then it redirects to the url without the preview=true. There are no redirector plugins installed or anything.
