So Ive been going through all this all day. Ive installed wordfence.
It scanned and returned a few outdated pluggins. but other than that nothing that I we havent changed. The weird thing is that the company has another wordpress site hosted on the same server but different database and domain and that is also effected. Any Ideas?

Cheers for the quick reply, that was my first thought but we have really good security, login by certain ips etc… If it was hacked would they not have redirected the home page too, not just mobile devices?

Most show .com, a few show .org. I only really noticed when working on the sitemap file.
