Hi Dragos, wrapping every part in a shortcode makes it very complicated. I tried anyway but couldn’t make it work. Thanks for your help anyway, I give up at this point.
Best, Julia
Hi Dragos, yes I’ll try this for the link but the main big problem of translating a bunch of strings together with all the included links (see my original post) remains – any solution on this? Best regards, Julia
Hi Dragos, yes I did now, sorry thought I should only try it if the aforementioned option (translating the text string by string) wouldn’t work. So I have tried two things now:
a) Clicking the green arrow and using the snippet to translate the whole block – same result as before, after saving the translation it doesn’t appear on the page and when i go back to the translation it’s not there anymore.
b) Not clicking the green arrow and using the snippet in the first string, inserting the whole translation into “Translate everything“. This works, the whole text gets translated including the links. But the other strings remain untranslated. Plus my links don’t work anymore this way. I’ve saved it that way, you can check it out now: http://juliawunsch.ch/en/2020/01/wintercamping-packliste/Any other idea? Best regards, Julia

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. It indeed works bit by bit, but this is kinda unhandy as I can’t split the sentences in English the same way I do in German. But I hope that brings you closer to an idea what the problem might be?
Best regards and again thank you so much in advance!

Hi Dragos, thank you very much for your reply!! Unfortunately I can’t figure out how I can attach a screenshot here (sorry I’m new to this forum) but you can see the result here: http://juliawunsch.ch/en/2020/01/wintercamping-packliste/ The upper part is translated, the lower part (below “THE MOST IMPORTANT BASICS – SLEEPING BAG & PAD”) is not translated. In the backend I saved this translation: “The most important to equipment pieces are, of course, sleeping bag (or bags) and a sleeping pad. Regarding the latter the Exped Synmat HL MW keeps me warm, which is rated down to -18 ° C.” I hit “save translation”, open the link in another browser (not logged in), switch the blog post to English – but the part with the link is still in German. As soon as I go back to the backend and click the arrow to translate that part again, the translation that I had saved before is not there anymore. Is it clearer now?
