Hi miscprabu,
Yes, CiteKit works with Elementor. You can use CiteKit’s shortcodes inside Elementor’s WordPress block widget to display citations, bibliographies, tooltips, and footnotes.
Thanks for your feedback. The goal is ultimately for CiteKit to support publishing workflows across a wider range of citation needs over time.
And yes, rich text formatting for footnotes is definitely on the roadmap.
Your idea of combining footnotes and citations into a single bibliography is an interesting one. I’ll have to give it more thought on how that could be implemented within CiteKit.
Really appreciate the suggestions – and thank you again for the kind words.
Hi Scarletcarnival,
Thanks for identifying this issue. Version 3.2.1 is now live and adds the additional fields each source type (web page, journal, book, report, etc.) requires – including journal title, volume, issue, pages, publisher, DOI, and more.
Bibliographies across all six supported styles now properly output those fields where applicable. Additional citation styles are planned for future releases, and a custom citation builder is currently planned for CiteKit Premium.
Please give the latest version a try and let me know if you run into anything else.
Hey Jason,
Really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. It’s great to know that the features and workflow improvements are proving useful. And yes, the plugin is currently a little light on styling options but they are definitely on the way, especially for users who aren’t comfortable working with CSS. Thanks for sharing!
