This is the resolution, please update to the latest GridKit version if you’re running WordPress v5.0 or higher. If you’re using Free version, then the latest update should be v1.8.22, otherwise it should be v1.8.46.Forum: Plugins

Do you have a cache plugin installed on your website? Please clean the website and browser caches, then check it once again. Let me know if the issue persists.

If you have an excerpt page where you want to show the part of the gallery, you should create a second gallery for this purpose. Or simply you can duplicate your current gallery, remove the items you don’t need in your excerpt page and publish that shortcode for that specific purpose. I think is workaround should work for you.
Please use this css styles, I think this is what you exactly need:

Unfortunately our plugin offer one level categorization at this moment. We’re planning to implement such functionality in the upcoming updates.
