In reply to: Is it possible to label widgets without name showing on pageChange this:
<?php if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') ) register_sidebar(array( 'before_widget' => '', 'after_widget' => '', 'before_title' => '<h4>', 'after_title' => '</h4>', )); ?>to
<?php if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') ) register_sidebar(array( 'before_widget' => '<li id="%1$s" class="widget %2$s">', 'after_widget' => '</li>', 'before_title' => '<h4>', 'after_title' => '</h4>', )); ?>The %1$s will set the title of the widget as the list items id, using this id you can target specific h4 title tags and only hide those. For example
#archives h4{ diaplay:none; }Check the source code of your website in a browser after the page loads and you can see what all the id’s were set to and then just use the css above to only hide h4 tags that fall within those id’s like this:
#archives h4, #categories h4, #pages h4{ diaplay:none; }The above are all just examples. You could also just hide all the h4’s like you did before and then only unhide certain ones
#sidebar h4{ diaplay:none; } #amazon h4{ diaplay:block; }Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Is it possible to label widgets without name showing on pageOne solution would be to hide the widget titles using CSS. In you theme’s functions.php file find the section the defines the dynamic sidebar and see what tags are going to be generated around a widget title (or look at your webpage source code). This is typically going to be h2, h3 or h4 tags, depending on the theme. You can change what tags go around the widget title with thi code:
<?php if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') ) register_sidebar(array( 'before_widget' => '', 'after_widget' => '', 'before_title' => '<h4>', 'after_title' => '</h4>', )); ?>In the above code h4 tags will go around the widget title, so, we can hide the widget title by adding this code to our stylesheet.
#sidebar h4{ display:none; }The above assumes you sidebar is inside an element with the id of “sidebar”. If its a class instead of an id change #sidebar to .sidebar.
Hope that helps.

In reply to: Can not log into blog..to make changeswp-admin is a folder in your wordpress install directory. Browsing to this folder will load the login screen. Alternatively, you could go to
http://www.yourdomainname.com/wp-login.php
and use the reset from there.

In reply to: Can not log into blog..to make changesAssuming you know the email address or username that was setup during installation you can use the “forgot password” link off the login page at /wp-admin to recover your admin login details.
If you do not know or do not have access to the email address used to setup the admin account you can use PHPMyAdmin to reset the password. Detailed instructions to follow:
1.Login to PHPMyAdmin
2.Select the database wordpress is installed on
3.Choose the wp_users table
4.Select the Browse tab (at the top)
5.Choose the Pencil Icon (edit) for the admin account
6. Under the user_pass field: select MD5 for the Function and replace the long string of characters with the password you want
7.Hit Go
8.Login to wordpress with the user_login and the password you just typed in.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Best way to embed WordPress into my Web or match my Web themeThere are a few different ways to do this but the best option would be to simply make a theme from your current design and install wordpress in a directory dedicated to your blog, such as /blog.

In reply to: New Word Press InstallIf you are currently logged in admin options will appear on your blog. Rest assured these links will only appear to you — the logged in user– no one else can see them. Try logging out from the control panel and then visit your blog.

In reply to: How to add Client Login area ??This is possible in conjunction with WordPress but not directly through WordPress.
The only thing that comes to mind is using categories for each client and passwords for the posts in those categories. You would probably want to exclude these categories from the main loop, archives and so on and then password protect the posts. Each client would get a password to view and comment on posts in their own category.
If that won’t work you’re going to need a plugin or some parallel PHP/MySQL development.
