In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Can't create anything….Hi Levinor
WP Google Map Plugin is a different plugin then our own. We do not have anything in our plugin that says “Marker group”. I think you may be in the wrong plugin support section for that support request. If you are using WP Google Maps. You need to create your maps under “Maps” in the left navigation menu.
Kind regards

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] No Marker in fresh InstallMetaphorcreations, you have a CDN issue where the plugin is trying to access the marker’s XML file from another location (your CDN). I had a look at Quick Cache and didnt notice and CDN options. Are you perhaps not using any other caching plugin or “CDN” plugin?
Nathan, you mention the following:
I also just realized that the map box which used to be below each page in the visual editor is now not present
Our plugin does not have any map functionality that appears on the admin page visual editor section? Our maps are created via “Maps” in the left navigation.
We’ve recently put in some more checks for the marker files on install along with some handy notifications. If all else fails, please review http://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/troubleshooting/my-markers-are-not-showing-on-my-map/

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] Zoom level issueHi again.
You left a support request which I have answered. I’m sorry that you thought it was necessary to then go and leave a one star review when in all likelihood it was either your theme or another plugin that was causing the issue. Please see http://wordpress.org/support/topic/define-your-own-width-height-and-zoom-level-for-your-google-map?replies=6 for our response.
Hi Rafinhoas
If you dont see the map then something is wrong. There must be a javascript error from another plugin or your theme that is stopping our plugin’s javascript from executing. We have a troubleshooting section on our website – http://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/troubleshooting/
Kind regards

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] No Marker in fresh InstallHi Nathan
Are you perhaps using a caching plugin? If yes, you will need to add “wp-content/uploads/wp-google-maps/” to your “exclude paths” within the CDN settings area of the plugin. Does this help?Kind regards
NickHi Gari
All you need to do is either use your scroll wheel on the map, or the zoom controls on the map. Then press “Save map” and it will save that zoom level.Kind regards
NickOK I think we’ve got it right now in version 6.0.7. Just tested it and it seems to do the trick. Please confirm?
Kind regards
Nickdlnsf, you’re spot on.
Endymion, thank you for your amazing feedback. We’re about to launch 6.0.6 which fixes this. Thank you for all your help!

In reply to: [WP Go Maps (formerly WP Google Maps)] install brokenHi
Please can you contact me on nick@wpgmaps.com – I’d like to debug this issue further and then post the resolution here.Kind regards
NickWe do check if the file exists before trying to create it. We also do the same for the folder. Something on your server must be stopping our plugin (permissions) from creating folders.
Who do you host with? I’d like to create an account with them so that I can test.
Kind regards
NickHi
