Hello, I have the same problem with the Czech special characters like ěščř… on filenames. Is there any way how to work with it?
There are link to older post http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-nextgen-gallery-convert-non-utf-8-filenames?replies=2 , but still no solution.
