Thanks for that. I have actually looked at that but the problem is the blog page. My front page is set as static… that is in order but, why does the content not show on the blog page (which is not the front page). And also, when adding a post, it does not show up anywhere – certainly doesn’t appear on the “blog” page. If you can throw light on that … I cannot find the answer in the above link. So sorry!
