Thank you to all who have offered advice. The original problem persists, even after an upgrade to the latest Flash player, and trying Chrome rather than Firefox. I’m just grabbing at straws now. I can only insert images into pages by typing in img src code on the HTML tab. I got WordPress for its functionality – so much for that idea.
Yes, I forgot to mention in my original post that I tried both of those things.
