unfortunately none of these fixes worked and made the grey area larder.
i want to keep the logo the size it is (obviously with replacing the image so it doesn’t look so squashed) and almost lift the rest of the page along with it.

is this possible?

Thanks very much for your help, The reason for the change in size of header image was due to the fact it looked too big, and couldn’t find an alternative theme with the features services area on it.

Is there a way to keep the header image smaller and cut the gap? Or do we have to go back to the original size header?

What do you mean absolute position?
