In reply to: Problem installing WordPress on Wamp Server. Thanks for the suggestion. I went through the tutorials. It looks like I have done everything I am supposed to but, I am still stuck. When I try to install WordPress by going to this address localhost/wordpress/wp-admin Internet Explorer tell me the page cannot be displayed.
I’m sure it is a small mistake that is causing my problem.

In reply to: A program with a visual interface to create or edit themes? Thanks again for your help.
Now I have two more questions for you.
1. I’ve actually fairly computer savvy so learning a program and dealing with tricky situations would not bother me a whole lot as long as I am able to avoid hand coding. Even if it would be tricky would it be possible to use WordPress along with the visual aspect of Dreamweaver?
The reason I am so insisted on trying to get something done with a visual editor is because it is very difficult for me to type. In fact, I use speech recognition to do 99.9% of my typing. So as long as it’s tricky and not impossible I would definitely be game for giving it a try.
2. Have you heard about this?

It seems to be a visual editor for WordPress. It may not be the greatest thing but it might be worth a try.
Thank you again for all of your help I really appreciate itForum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: A program with a visual interface to create or edit themes?I would like to do as much of it myself as I possibly could but I might have to take a look at that having someone help me with it.
When I asked earlier about creating a theme in Dreamweaver with what you see is what you get. I don’t think I was extremely clear. I understand the software cannot create the theme for you. When I was really trying to get at was. Is it possible to create a WordPress theme using entirely wysiwyg.
I definitely did not phrase that correctly. Obviously I know software cannot create something without being manipulated.

Most of what you said in your reply was what I was afraid of.

In reply to: Having difficulty setting up WordPress on a local server.I figured out my problem. As I suspected it was an idiot mistake. When I copied the files to the www directory I did not copy the files inside the WordPress directory, I copied the entire WordPress directory. The folder as well as the files inside, instead of just the inside files

In reply to: Having difficulty setting up WordPress on a local server.A. The icon is green. I make sure that it is green before I try to access anything. I left click on the icon and select start all services.
