Turns out that it was a bad regular expression in a wp_insert_post_data filter in a theme from a contractor.

I have now completely deleted the post by moving it to trash, then deleting permanently from trash. I have verified that there is nothing in the wp_posts table with anything like the post data in the post_content field.

Then I create the page from scratch, save it as a draft, and the old data shows up!

Where is it getting this from?!?

The quick summary of our offline email conversation is:

    It won’t work.

As for my opinion, I think that WordPress is simply the wrong choice for any site that needs multiple backend servers for any reason. The architecture simply isn’t there to support it.

That said, WordPress was selected by non-technical people in my business and I can’t change that decision. I think I’m going back to look at Batcache again.

I emailed you through that link. Frederick Townes responded requesting that I submit a bug report through the admin interface. I couldn’t tell whether the bug report went through or not. (The page reloaded with no acknowledgement either positive or negative.) I responded to Frederick via email with that information and I haven’t heard back yet.

I just want to make sure that I’m corresponding in the way you want.
