In reply to: Unable to update a particular pageTrue. But in my case, I don’t seem to have even the prerogative; I simply can’t find any WP files inside my blog, where plugins suppose reside.

In reply to: Unable to update a particular pageThanks Lorro. I didn’t even know that there was such a thing as php limit, but I’ve been considering this possibility, and even mentioned it elsewhere, on another forum. You’re the first one to bring it up, though.
It’d explain why only that particular page won’t upload.
That, of course, creates a whole new challenge for me, since my idea was to only add new content to the same page weekly, so to make it easy for readers to find it, and for it to be linked to posts and such. But it is what it is.
Still don’t understand why I can’t install plugins though. Anyway, thanks for your help. CheersForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Internet Countdown Clock AnimationThis is how it looks like on the official site and also on other blogs that display it.
https://www.battleforthenet.com/countdown/Not sure you’ll be able to see this,
https://colltales.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=28675&action=edit
but that’s an example of what I’m talking about (which is not what’s been discussed on the links you’ve sent me). It’s the Edit page of the post I’ve written and illustrated with an image. On the right side, where it says Publicize, there’s a list of sites, including Twitter, that I’ve selected to send the post to when I publish it on my blog.
The link to the post appears on Twitter, but not the picture that, in this case, is the main factor enhancing the story.
The funny thing is, just a couple of years ago, Twitter would show the main picture of my posts. The fact that it’s not showing now tells me that something changed in the WP basic Publicize set up, that made us lose that ability. ThanksAlso, I almost forgot it, the plugin was not uninstalled, even if that was possible, because the posts do appear on Twitter; only the pictures are missing. Thanks
I’m not sure you are aware of some differences between .com and .org sites. I couldn’t uninstall the plugin because I’ve never had it to begin with.
Plugins for the .com sites already come with the package, I was told long ago, and I don’t think that that’s changed. There’s not even a menu for them on my site.
What I have is the option, on the EDIT POST page, to send posts to different social networks, including Twitter, at the same time as I publish them.
And below each story, there are a number of buttons that I can use to resend the posts, with commentary added, etc.
Thanks for trying but I still need the correct information.Wesley
Any news about this topic? Can anyone please step up to the plate? I was hoping to solve this issue before my son goes to college. Thanks much.
Wesley
I’m informed that I’m in the wrong forum, so I better take my business elsewhere. Thanks to you all. I’m moving this issue to the Share Buttons forum and hopefully will get it resolved before my son goes to college. Thanks everyone.
Wesley
There are buttons below each story, that allow it to be shared in a variety of social networks (Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, etc). On the edit page, these sites are checked so when I post, it automatically goes to them too.
The think is, with Twitter, the story appears but not the main picture accompanying it. You may check it as it just happened again: I’ve resend the post, using the Twitter button, and combining with another story on the same subject, published by the HuffPost. I copied and pasted the HuffPost link and combine it on a single Twitter with my own story. Result: the HuffPost picture shows but not the one I’ve use for my post.
Please check @colltales. The HuffPost story is ‘1in 5 Children…’ and mine, ‘Fallen Boys:..’ Both these headlines are followed by their links. Thanks Damian.
PS: http://colltales.comI’m reposting this, since the forum was closed without resolution:
If I send to Twitter a blog post from the SHARE button underneath it, the picture that usually opens the post won’t display on it. Let me know how to fix this.
Thanks a million
Wesley
Blog url: http://colltales.wordpress.com/I was told then that the problem was being worked out but that was sometime ago. Is there any news on this matter? I still see other WP users sending posts WITH pictures to Twitter, but no matter what browser I use, it doesn’t work for me. It used to, though. Thanks

In reply to: How to draw a lineDear Support,
It didn’t become clear to me how to create lines and frames for posts on wordpress blogs. How could I draw vertical and horizontal lines around an issue I want to highlight and then place it on the top of the blog? Please let me know. You may reply to [Email address moderated]
Thanks and regards,

In reply to: Lost Sidebar EntryThanks esmi. Yes, I understand that about the forum. But I wonder whether there’s a database that keeps all posts somewhere? I saw that some forum participants mention something to that effect, even Google came up but they were all on a different context from my request. I’d appreciate very much if you or anyone would help me on how to proceed. Regards
