    Hi,

I set up the blog seven years ago and don’t really post so my memory is cloudy on where I set it up. All I know is I had a bookmarked link that allowed me to login to the blog to edit it. When I changed computers and lost all my bookmarks I simply tried to log in to wordpress.com but I realized I am hosting the blog myself so it must be via wordpress.org. But when I login to wordpress.org I cannot find the section where my blog is and how to edit it. Shouldn’t it be somewhere??

i got it to work. i tried a few times. who knows why. could be sleep deprivation or buggy.

oh and if i manually insert code it still doesn’t work. and when i switch to html, it gets garbled. so i change it in html mode again and still doesn’t work.

ok. so i click on the blue link and it opens up a window to enter the url. pretty standard stuff. i do so and click ok. the standard html code then appears in the post. there was never another window for the text associated with the link. so of course when i view the post it is just the code. then sometimes it makes all the text after a huge link. this is infuriating. this is the most basic function of web publishing and it should work. i have been putting links into pages since 1995, i am so frustrated. if i were doing this on my site it would take a second and I have wasted hours over this scouring docs and forums to no effect. either wordpress is buggy or sucks. any suggestions?

ha. doesn’t work! amazing how bad wordpress is. if only it were html based.
