I don’t know if this is related, but the full scan worked after the release of 6.3.20, so I haven’t had to open up the bonnet of wp-config.
Hi, I am experiencing a similar problem. It happened a few months ago, and I fixed it by setting the Maximum execution time for each scan stage to 15, and flushing the cache before running a ‘full scan’. I have the max run time for a scan set at 20,000 seconds.
However, I have now tried setting that variable to as low as 7 and as high as 25 and still the scans don’t finish, it pauses when scanning additional files.
I am with GoDaddy.
The article above recommends editing the wpconfig.php file, but I am somewhat nervous about mesing about in the guts of WordPress. Is there another solution?
OK. That is sort of plausible, but there’s more than 2 orders of magnitude difference which seems less than plausible.
And how does AtA track shares that happen without using the AtA buttons?
Just upgraded to v6.0.10 and the problem seems to have gone away.
The message was in the Wordfence Live Activity box on the “Live Traffic” page

The buttons still appear on the website where previously added, and they are still there in the plug in page.
But when I edit a post and press the “Add Button” button, no buttons appear for adding to my posts.
I have tried deactivating and reactivating but that hasn’t worked.
Done some more digging.

I’ve also been on to GoDaddy support and it seems that another security produce I once had installed for a short while and didn’t like much and then uninstalled it, might have corrupted the .htaccess file.
Too early to see if that has fixed it.
Sorry, should have said, now reactivated WF, on setting Level 2, with no IP address blocks or network blocks set.
I’m not running any other security plugins or membership plugins.
I’m sorry I don’t have a screen shot, as I myself have not received the error message.
Error seems ot occur most with people clicking on links from Facebook posts generated by the SNAP plugin.
I’ll turn the WF plug-in back on and next time it happens, I’ll see if I can get a screenshot.

In reply to: [MaxButtons - Create buttons] Many errors after updating to version 3.02The button I had has disappeared completely from the pages and from the widget used to add buttons to pages. The button creation plug-in also doesn’t let me create new ones.
I will try reverting to old version.
Fixed now with re-migration.
